Vent: a guy at the laundromat said my $150 concert habit is dumb and now I'm second guessing it
Last Tuesday I was folding clothes at the Spin City on 8th and this older guy next to me said he hasn't paid for live music in 11 years because his nephew gets him into small shows for free. He told me I could see three local bands at the VFW hall on Friday for $8 total and I'd probably like them more than the arena stuff I keep buying. My buddy Dave says the cheap shows are full of people who don't even know the songs, but the guy's point was that I'm shelling out $150 a ticket to stare at a screen from row 40. So which is it, is paying up for a big name worth it or am I just throwing cash at a light show?
