Had to pick between polyurethane caps or these old metal ones on a job last week

Got a call from a lady in Oak Park who wanted her chimney repointed and asked about crown caps. I told her the pros and cons of each: poly ones cost $150 and are lighter but can crack in 3-4 years, while the metal ones run $250 but last 15 years plus no rust issues if you go with stainless. She went with the expensive option, and I gotta say, install was smoother than I expected. Anyone else deal with customers who balk at the price difference?
