Is brushing from the top down actually wrong, or did my old boss just hate shortcuts?
Had a job in Gary last month where the flue was so tight I couldn't get my 6 inch brush past the smoke shelf from the bottom, so I ran it top down with a weighted line and finished in 20 minutes flat, but my old boss always swore top down just smears creosote back into the smoke chamber, so now I'm wondering if I got lucky or if he was just set in his ways.
