My mentor in Baltimore said to stop using my wire brush on clay tile, but the old heads at the shop swear by it
I was two months into running my own truck when a guy with 30 years in Baltimore watched me hit a clay flue with a wire brush and said I was scratching the glaze, which would make creosote grab on even harder next season. Half the sweeps in my area still use wire on tile and say the poly brushes just spin without biting, and now I don't know which one of them to believe. Does anybody here have a way to actually test this, or am I just supposed to pick a side and hope my customers don't pay for it?
