Went to a historic hotel in St. Augustine and found a chimney full of old toys

I was down in St. Augustine last month for a job at this old hotel from the 1800s. The owner wanted me to check a fireplace in one of the suites because the draft was acting up. So I get my gear out and start looking up the flue, and I find this HUGE blockage about 10 feet up. Turns out some kids over the decades must have been dropping toys down the chimney. I pulled out a rusty metal truck from the 1950s, a couple of marbles, and even a little doll head. The strangest thing was a set of keys tied to a ribbon that looked like they'd been there for like 80 years. The owner said the room was famous for a story about a kid who lost his favorite toy in the 1920s. Has anyone else ever dug something weird out of a chimney while working?

Honestly, sounds like that chimney was more of a toy chest than a fire hazard. Ngl, I'm a little jealous you didn't find a cursed board game in there.

Yo for real lol. A cursed board game would've been way cooler than a stack of old newspapers. Imagine finding a Jumanji drum set or something in there. Now that'd be a story to tell at parties.
