Found out our town's recycling center takes old paint cans on the first Saturday of the month

After stacking 47 half-used latex cans in my garage for over two years, I finally hauled them all to the Hazleton drop-off last Saturday and it felt way better than I expected - does anyone else's local program have weird hidden rules like that?

God yeah, that "first Saturday" thing is exactly the kind of weird rule I run into. I swear my town's recycling center only takes paint cans if you say the secret password or something. I had a stack of 30 plus cans in my basement for like three years before I found out you have to call ahead and schedule a drop off window. Felt like I was scoring a goal just getting rid of them.
