Hit 500 kWh saved in a month and it made me wonder about the other side

My solar panels pushed me to 500 kWh saved last month, but then I drove past a new data center going up outside town burning through that in a day, so are individual efforts even worth it compared to fighting corporate emissions?

Saw a study last week that said something like 80% of emissions come from big industry, not households, and it kind of stuck with me... It makes individual savings feel tiny when you see those numbers. Feels like we need both, but the big guys have way more ground to cover.

Wow, "80% of emissions come from big industry, not households" - that genuinely blew my mind for a second. Honestly, I knew the big players were a huge chunk, but 80%? That's insane when you think about how much we're told to recycle and turn off lights. Ngl, it makes me feel a bit used, like we've been fighting over crumbs while the real feast is happening somewhere else. Tbh, it's not that individual stuff doesn't matter at all, but it's hard not to feel like a fool sorting cans while a factory dumps more in an hour than I'll ever use in a decade. Yeah, we totally need both, but that 80% stat just puts the guilt trip in perspective.
