I spent $400 on a home energy audit and it showed me where my money was really going

The guy found a ton of air leaks around my windows and doors I never would have spotted, and my heating bill dropped by about $30 a month after I sealed them. It felt like a big upfront cost, but it's already paying for itself. Has anyone else done an audit and been surprised by what they found?

Totally worth it. My old place had a draft from the attic hatch I never noticed. A cheap weather strip kit fixed it for like ten bucks.

Our old apartment had the same issue around the electrical outlets.

Yeah, the draft around outlets is a special kind of cold. I spent a whole winter thinking my feet were just defective before I figured it out.
