That whole energy audit thing I tried last month took 8 hours just to find out my attic insulation was installed backward
The auditor kept saying my house felt drafty but his tools showed good R-values, and after crawling around up there with a flashlight for what felt like forever, I realized the vapor barrier was facing the wrong way so all that fancy insulation was basically useless in winter, has anyone else dealt with a contractor messing up something that basic?

Gotta disagree, it's usually the gaps and entry points that attract them more than the insulation itself.
