Heard a solar installer say most underperformance is from microinverter failures, not the panels themselves.

Yeah @carr.gavin nailed it, my neighbor had the same issue (took him a year to notice). It's funny how we assume big stuff like solar panels just works perfect, but the real world is full of little failures that add up - like how your phone battery slowly gets worse and you just live with it.
