Tried electric lawnmower vs gas for a summer. The difference was bigger than I expected
I used a gas mower for years and finally swapped to a corded electric one back in April, mostly to cut emissions. My electric bill went up maybe $3 a month but my garage doesn't smell like fuel anymore and I'm not buying oil or gas. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed something surprising about the cost or convenience?

Hold on a second, the emissions thing is true but the real surprise for me was how much quieter the electric one is. I didn't realize how much I hated the gas noise until I didn't have to deal with it every weekend. That alone made the switch worth it for me, even if the cord is a bit annoying sometimes.
