Unpopular opinion: Biking instead of driving dropped my pollution way faster than I thought
I switched last spring and now my air is cleaner and my wallet is thicker. You might want to give it a shot before gas prices spike again.

Funny to admit this as someone who works with cars, but biking really grew on me. @brian_coleman is right about noticing stuff you miss in a car, like which neighbors plant new flower beds. Took a while to see it as more than just exercise, but now I get why people stick with it.

Honestly, you're spot on about biking cutting down pollution and costs. Tbh, I made the switch a couple years back and my commute feels way better now. Not just the air, but my stress levels dropped big time. Ngl, it's one of the best choices I ever made for my wallet and my mood. More people should try it before they knock it.

Something folks overlook is how biking tunes you into the little details of your route. You notice which store opens early for coffee, or that one garden that goes all out for holidays. Started recognizing regulars like the mail carrier and the dog walker, ended up having quick chats. That daily ride turns into a quiet way to feel part of the area, not just passing through. Honestly makes the commute something you kinda look forward to, beyond just saving gas money.
