Just blew $300 on a 'universal' collet set that doesn't fit my Haas VF-2 properly.
The drawbar threads were off by a fraction, so I had to overnight the right kit and eat the cost on a rush job, anyone have a go-to brand for tool holders they actually trust?

Ugh, that's brutal. Honestly though, is a fraction off really that big a deal for a one-off job?

Man, that's rough. So the threads were just a little off, but it still wouldn't seat right? Did it feel like the collet was cross-threading when you tried to put it in, or did it just stop dead?
