Tried a different coolant mix on a 316 stainless job and the finish went all weird

Devils advocate here but maybe the coolant mix aint the problem. 316 is pretty forgiving with most coolants unless you're running straight water or something crazy. Could be your feed or speed is off, or maybe that tool is duller than you think. Check your surface speed and chip load first before blaming the juice.

Idk, a bad coolant mix can wreck surface finish way faster than a slightly off feed.
