Checked out that new co-working space downtown and the wifi situation is sketchy

Stopped by CodeHub on 5th Street yesterday to scope it out for some weekend coding. They had like 40 people there all on the same wireless router and I couldn't even load a simple PHP file. Asked the dude at the front desk about it and he said 'yeah we're working on it' but it's been 3 months according to the reviews. Anyone else run into this at shared spaces or did I just pick a bad one?

Jump right in and call me old school but @susana66 kinda has a point. If you're coding on the weekend and need to load a PHP file, save it locally and test later. I've worked out of places with trash wifi where you're basically on dial-up and still got stuff done. The real issue is if you're trying to push to a repo or join a video call, then yeah it's rough. But for basic coding and Slack? That router's fine. Maybe skip the peak hours if it bugs you that much.

Three months is rough but come on, how often do you really need full internet speed at a co-working space? Load your stuff locally and sync later. Half the time people complain about wifi they're just trying to watch Netflix or stream music anyway. Unless you're doing serious server work or massive file transfers, that router probably handles basic Slack and email just fine. Maybe skip the peak hours if it bugs you that much.
