Everyone raves about learning Python first, but I tried JavaScript for 3 months and got way more practical results building actual projects.

After switching from Python to JavaScript tutorials in April, I had a working weather app by July because I could actually see my code running in a browser instead of staring at terminal output, has anyone else found that a visual payoff kept them motivated longer?
