My first breakout project taught me to read error messages at 2AM

Last month I finally tried building a simple to-do app after three weeks of tutorials. I spent like 4 hours staring at a blank screen because I missed one colon in a Python dictionary. When I pasted the error into Google, the top result was literally a Reddit thread from 2016 with the exact same typo. Made me feel both dumb and relieved lol. Now I read every line of an error before touching my keyboard, saves me so much time. Anyone else have a dumb mistake that taught them a big lesson early on?

Learned that one debugging the colon that never existed.

The missing colon club has a lifetime membership and @the_riley's card is probably laminated by now... mine's just got coffee stains on it from those 2AM debugging sessions.
