omg yes! I started explaining loops to my niece by comparing them to making a peanut butter sandwich step by step. She got it instantly once it wasn't just abstract code on a screen. That kid is totally right.

Oh man, I read something about this once... it was talking about how our brains are literally wired for stories and pictures, not raw data. So it makes total sense that linking a weird new idea to something you already know, like a sandwich, just clicks the puzzle pieces together. It's like giving your brain a shortcut instead of building a whole new road from scratch. That's probably why the best teachers always have those weird, perfect comparisons.
