The coffee shop wall of sticky notes taught me more than any tutorial

I was killing time at this small coffee place in Denver last Wednesday, waiting on a friend. They had this wall covered in sticky notes from people learning to code, stuff like "explain loops like I'm 5" and "help, my if statement broke." Some random stranger had answered them in different handwriting, even drew a little diagram for one about arrays. It hit me that these tiny, messy notes were better than half the videos I've watched because they were real problems, not scripted examples. Why do we always jump to a 2 hour course instead of just writing out a broken piece of code and asking someone to fix it? Has anyone else tried something like that, like literally posting your worst bug on a wall or a forum and getting a better answer than from a paid class?

Read about a guy who stuck his buggy React code on a library corkboard. Got a fix in two hours from a retired dev who just happened to be there.
