Was told learning Python with ADHD was impossible but structured courses actually helped me stick with it for 90 days straight
I spent 2 years jumping between YouTube tutorials and free coding sites with zero progress, but signing up for a $15/month course with daily bite-sized lessons and a progress tracker finally got me to build my first working calculator app last week has anyone else found that the simple routine stuff works better than the flexible self-paced methods for starting out?

Isnt that the same reason workout apps and meal prep plans are so popular now? Its not that the app has some secret knowledge, its that it tricks your brain into just showing up. My buddy tried every diet in the book but only lost weight when he started a 5 minute morning stretch routine that was so easy he couldnt say no. Same thing happens with learning guitar or sticking to a budget spreadsheet, the daily low effort check in beats the big ambitious plan every time. Your phone check trick is basically the same as putting your sneakers by the bed so you have to step over them first thing.

Right, so you said "daily bite-sized lessons" and that really clicked with me. I tried the flexible self-paced stuff too and it was a disaster, I'd just forget to come back for a week. But I gotta push back a little on that $15/month being the magic fix. I found that the real trick wasn't the price tag but the fact that I had to show up every single day, even if it was just for 10 minutes. The structure forced me to build a habit instead of waiting for motivation. For me, the key was setting a super low bar like "do one lesson before I check my phone" and that made all the difference.
