After 8 months of tweaking my pour over technique I finally got a cup that tasted like actual blueberries instead of just 'fruity notes'
Turns out it was my water temperature being off by about 7 degrees the whole time so I grabbed a proper kettle that lets me set it exactly at 205 and the difference was immediate, anyone else have one specific variable that unlocked their coffee game?

Wait did you try adjusting your grind size first or just jump straight to temp?

Grind first always, temp is just fine tuning.

I get where you're coming from with "grind first always," but I've had better luck messing with temp first when my shots are acting up. A finer grind just chokes my machine sometimes, and backing off the temp gives me a cleaner result without fighting the grind setting. It really depends on the beans and your setup, so I wouldn't say temp is always just fine tuning.
