Barista told me to weigh my beans and I laughed at first
A guy at a shop in Portland told me I was ruining my morning brew by eyeballing the scoop. He said I needed a scale and to aim for 18 grams for my mug. I thought he was just trying to sell me something, so I ignored him for like 3 months. Then I found a cheap scale at a garage sale for two bucks and tried it. First cup was way less bitter and actually tasted like the bag said it should. Now I'm that guy who weighs everything and I still feel dumb for laughing. Anyone else have a snobby tip that turned out to be totally right?
