Chemex vs French press - the Chemex won by a mile
I spent last Sunday morning brewing the same beans side by side with both methods. The Chemex gave me this clear, sweet cup with no grit while the French press was cloudy and had that muddy mouthfeel. Anyone else find pour-over gear worth the extra effort for cleaner taste?

The Chemex absolutely wins for clarity. I did the same test a few months back and ended up giving my French press away. Getting that clean cup without any silt floating around is worth the extra minute of cleanup.

Does the paper filter strip out any of the good oils and flavors too?
