Dropped $240 on a hand grinder everyone praised, and my $35 one brewed just as well
Two months of cranking a burr grinder that takes 30 turns for 20 grams of beans, and I honestly can't taste the difference in my morning pour over. Has anyone else gone back to their cheap setup after spending big?
I read a thing from some coffee guy saying burr grinders are more about consistency over time than a magic taste upgrade. He said the cheap ones can work fine if you're not switching brew methods all the time. Maybe that $240 is really just paying for it to last longer and not wear out.
