Hit 50 pour overs on my new V60 and finally feel like I get it

I brewed my 50th cup this morning and the difference from cup 1 is wild. My first one tasted like burnt dirt but now I'm getting actual fruity notes from this Ethiopian roast. How many cups did it take you to really dial in a new method?

Took me about 30 cups on my Kalita Wave before I got it right. My first few were so bad I almost quit. The water was too hot and I was pouring way too fast. But around cup 25 I slowed way down and started using a gooseneck kettle. Now I get this crazy blueberry taste from a Yirgacheffe I've been working with. It's like a whole different drink.
