My local shop's espresso machine broke down for a full week
The usual spot, Grounds on Main, had their main La Marzocco give out last Monday. I had to try three different places, and none of them got my usual cortado right, always too bitter or too milky. Has anyone else had their routine totally wrecked by a cafe's equipment failure?

How much did it mess up your whole morning routine? I mean, a bad coffee can set the wrong tone for the whole day.

Three minutes into my morning and already feeling that bitter regret. @hugo825 hits it right - one bad cup throws off the whole rhythm for hours. Fixing it with a backup plan saves the rest of the day every time.
