My new burr grinder jammed on day three and I almost chucked it out the window
I got a new burr grinder last week, one of those mid-range ones around $80. On day three, I tried grinding some dark roast beans and it just seized up halfway through. Turned out a little piece of bean shell got stuck between the burrs and locked the whole thing solid. I spent twenty minutes with a tiny brush and a paperclip trying to fish it out while my coffee got cold. Finally got it working, but now I'm paranoid about every single bean I pour in. Has anyone else dealt with a grinder jamming like that or did I just get a dud?

Bet that dark roast crumbled into tiny shards and caused it. Try a medium roast next time, makes a big difference.
