Rant: I used a $15 blade grinder for a year before trying a friend's Baratza Encore and wow, the difference is insane.

Totally agree with you troythompson. People act like it's all the same until they try the good stuff. I used a cheap blade grinder for years and my coffee was always bitter and uneven. Switching to a basic burr grinder was like a fog lifted. Suddenly I could actually taste the different notes they put on the bag. It makes every part of the process better.
