Shelled out $45 for a manual coffee grinder and my mornings are way less loud now

I got tired of waking up my girlfriend with my electric grinder at 6am. Picked up a cheap hand crank one off Amazon. First few mornings were rough, took me like 4 minutes to grind for one cup. After a week I got the hang of it and it actually tastes better. Anyone else switch to manual and stick with it?

Did you notice a flavor difference right away or did it take time?

Started noticing the difference around day three. Not the flavor at first actually, it was the texture. My electric grinder was giving me this mix of fine dust and big chunks. The manual one produces way more consistent grounds. Took a month before I realized I was tasting less bitterness too. Saves counter space and my girlfriend stopped complaining, so that's a win.
