Showerthought: my neighbor Lou swore my cheap drip machine was the problem, so I bought a $180 pour over setup
Lou has been roasting his own beans in his garage for 8 years and he kept telling me the plastic basket in my old Mr. Coffee was killing the flavor, so I finally caved and spent $180 on a gooseneck kettle and glass pour over setup. Turns out he was half right, the coffee tastes way better but now it takes me 9 minutes every morning instead of hitting a button, and I am honestly not sure the taste is worth losing the extra sleep. Has anyone else gone back to a drip machine after trying pour over, or am I just being lazy about the whole thing?
