Appreciation post: The comic shop in Springfield had a 'no phones' sign up and it was amazing

Honestly, I was at The Panel Page last weekend and they have this rule where you can't just scroll on your phone while browsing. Ngl, I saw two people actually talking about the new Ultimate Spider-Man issue for like 10 minutes. When did just looking at the books and chatting become the weird thing?

The Panel Page is a great shop, but is staring at a shelf of comics really that much better than looking at your phone? People can still have those conversations without a rule, right?

Actually found a first print of Saga #1 tucked behind some newer stuff at my local shop last month. That kind of surprise just doesn't happen scrolling through an app.

That rule sounds like a game changer. It forces a real connection you just don't get with a screen in your hand. More places should try it.
