Dropped $80 on a mint copy of X-Men #94 and it was totally worth it

I found it at a small con in Columbus last weekend. The vendor had it priced at $80, which was a lot for me to spend on one book. I've been trying to fill a gap in my Claremont run for years. Holding that first issue with the new team felt amazing. Has anyone else had a big purchase that just felt perfect for their collection?

Eighty bucks for a single comic book... seems like a lot for something you just look at.

I paid $120 for a first edition Watchmen last year, but it's an investment that holds its value.

My local shop sold a Watchmen #1 for over $200 last month. Prices on key books are only going up. That $120 is looking pretty smart now.
