Hit 500 issues in my collection last weekend and it hit me different
I was just organizing some boxes in my basement and decided to count everything. Ended up at 503 total after I found a stack I forgot about in a tote. Most of them are from the 80s and 90s, a few golden age ones my dad passed down. What number did you hit that made you stop and think about how long you've been doing this?

@kevin_dixon said something about buying books that looked cool but never reading them. I felt that deep in my soul. I was doing the same thing with those 90s foil covers and hologram issues. Ended up with a ton of comics I just never got around to reading. Now I'm down to the ones I actually pull out and flip through every few months. Quality over quantity really is the play.

I hit 400 a couple years back and that was the one that got me. I had them all in long boxes in my closet, nothing fancy, just stacks and stacks of floppies. Realized I had a lot of books I bought because they looked cool but never actually read. I started pulling out the ones I didn't care about and selling them in lots on eBay for cheap. That freed up space and cash for the books I actually wanted. Best thing I ever did was stop trying to collect everything and just focus on the runs and events that meant something to me. Now I sit at around 320 and it feels way more manageable than when I was trying to hoard every variant cover.
