Just realized I was wrong about back issue bins

I used to think digging through $1 bins was a waste of time, always went straight for the new release wall at my shop in Portland. Last Saturday I pulled an entire run of old Spectre issues for $23 and now I'm hooked on the hunt. Anyone else find their whole pull list shift after one good bin dive?

The Spectre run is a solid get for $23, that book has some wild art in the older issues. Now you are going to start looking at every random longbox with fresh eyes, waiting for that one beat up comic that turns out to be a gem. The hunt changes how you read too, you start paying attention to writers and artists instead of just chasing big events. Pretty soon you will have a stack of weird horror comics from the 70s that you never planned to buy, and that is the real addiction. Bins are where the personality of a shop lives, the wall is just what everyone else already knows about.
