My cousin told me to skip the new #1 issues and just wait for the trade

He said it back when the new Spider-Man run started. I listened, saved the cash each month. Big mistake. The first print run sold out fast, and now those single issues are worth triple cover price. I missed out on the whole event feeling too. Anyone else get burned by waiting for the collected edition?

Missing the event feeling is the worst part, I just buy the singles and sell them later if I get the trade.

Ugh, tell me about it. Buying the single feels like showing up to clean the hall after the actual party ended. You get the thing, but you missed all the fun that made it matter. Then you're just sitting there hoping someone else wants your leftover confetti enough to trade for theirs. Honestly, the whole process just makes the FOMO worse sometimes.
