Reflecting on the shift from dive bar debates to curated online comic book discussions
Over a beer after closing, I got to thinking about how we used to hash out Spider-Man's clone saga with nothing but memory and conviction. Nowadays, fans seem to value consensus and correct canon over the messy, personal interpretations that once defined our community. Is the drive for factual purity actually making us less engaged as fans?
