Shoutout to the guy who blocked the whole aisle at the Portland comic con
I was trying to get to a signing line for a 'Saga' artist last year when this guy with a huge backpack full of books just stopped dead in the middle of the walkway to dig for something. It caused a total traffic jam for like five minutes. Do you think it's okay to fully stop in a crowded con aisle, or should you always step to the side first?

Consider the people with mobility issues who can't easily squeeze past. That guy with the backpack basically built a wall. Someone using a cane or a wheelchair would have been totally stuck, not just annoyed. Always moving to the side is about basic crowd safety, not just being polite.

Completely agree @brian_ramirez, and this is part of a bigger issue where people just don't think about how their actions affect others in tight spaces, like how folks will stop right in the middle of a grocery aisle to check their phone. A little awareness goes a long way for everyone's safety.
