Showerthought: my comic shop guy handed me a pull list I never asked for, and it ruined my whole week
I walked into my local shop in Sacramento two Fridays ago just to grab one back issue, and the owner slid a paper across the counter with 11 titles on it. He said my pull box had been sitting there for five months and I owed $87 for stuff I never picked. Turns out he had me mixed up with another regular who has the same first name, and I got stuck explaining it for 20 minutes while a line piled up behind me. The worst part was flipping through the stack, because three of those books were actually good and now I kind of want them. I paid for one, the other guy got his box back, and things are fine now. Has this happened to anyone else, where a shop mixes up your box and you end up buying something by accident?
