That 'complete collection' listing had 14 books missing

Drove 40 minutes to pick up a lot posted as 'full run' of a series I'm hunting, and the guy left out 14 issues he thought were 'extras' because they were reprints. I sorted through the whole box in his garage for an hour before noticing, and he just shrugged and said he didn't count them. Has anyone else had a seller's 'complete' mean something completely different in person?
