That guy at the Philly con who said collecting is just hoarding with a theme

He was dead serious, standing by the back issue bins, and said 'you're just paying for clutter you'll never read again.' Has anyone else had a fan say something that harsh to your face?

Funny how people forget that all hobbies are just organized waste of time. Gardening is just hoarding plants, video games are hoarding digital achievements. His take is just a boring way to judge what makes others happy.

What a miserable way to see the world. That guy must be fun at parties. My collection brings me joy, that's the whole point. His opinion is just clutter in my brain.
