Bought a cheap dive knife online and it snapped the first time I needed it, costing me a $150 job.

I was cutting some old netting off a piling in Galveston and the blade just broke, leaving me to finish the job with my backup tool and making me look unprepared in front of the client.

Saw a YouTube video about that exact thing happening.

Look, you said it yourself, it was a cheap knife. What did you expect for a professional job? You saved money upfront but it cost you later. That's on you for not buying the right tool for the work.

Man, I've been there with cheap tools. Bought a bargain-bin wrench that rounded off a bolt head, turned a ten-minute fix into a whole afternoon of swearing. Felt like the universe was just laughing at me while I stood there holding two pieces of junk. You try to save a few bucks and it always comes back to bite you.
