Diver down flag mount snapped on me during a job in Port Arthur
I was doing a hull inspection on a tanker last Thursday and my flag mount just broke clean off in the current... lost the whole assembly over the side. Had to finish the dive with just a surface float and a handheld light. Anyone had a mount fail on them like that and found a brand that holds up better?

A broken flag mount seems like a minor inconvenience, not a crisis.

Oh man, that's not just a minor thing at all. Without a proper diver down flag, you're legally exposed and asking for trouble with boat traffic. I'd say that's a safety issue, not just an inconvenience. What mount were you using before it gave out?
