Hot take: Taking lone diver jobs in rough seas taught me a lesson
I want to share something that happened to me on a salvage job last spring. The contract was for good money, but I was the only diver on the boat. During a dive, the current picked up way more than forecasted. I got pushed against the wreck and my hose got pinched. The deckhand wasn't watching the line closely, so I had to free myself. It shook me up more than I'd like to admit. Now I always ask who else is diving and what the backup plan is. Trust me, a few extra bucks isn't worth being out there by yourself.

Man, I used to brush off those solo jobs thinking I could handle anything. Reading about your hose getting pinched just hits different, you know? That would make anyone rethink the whole setup. Makes you realize a good team isn't just extra help, it's your actual lifeline. I don't look at those high paying lone contracts the same way anymore.

But calling it a "lifeline" feels like a stretch, hey @the_wade, it's just a pinched hose lol not a catastrophe.

So is a pinched hose the new way to get people to work together?
