I finally appreciated surface intervals after a goofy mistake with my gear.
I used to skip breaks to get more work done. On a hot day, I put my drysuit on inside out by accident. My crew cracked up, and we had a good laugh while I fixed it. That moment showed me how breaks help team bonding and prevent silly errors.
