My cutting torch setup was backwards for two years

Down in Port Fourchon, a supervisor from Helix watched me prep a job and asked why my flashback arrestors were mounted upside down. I had been installing them that way since my dive school days in 2019, thought it was correct. Checked the manual and sure enough, the arrow has to point with gas flow, mine was opposite. Anyone else pick up a bad habit from an old diver and run with it for years?
