Switched to a drysuit with a p-valve after 8 years of holding it. Life changing.

Used to dread long dives because I'd be miserable by hour two. Now I just hook up and go, no more dehydrating myself before a job.

I mean "life changing" feels a bit dramatic for just not having to wait to pee. Like yeah, I get that holding it for 8 years probably sucked (been there, done that, got the damp shorts). But is it really that serious where you're rethinking your whole life? I've done plenty of long dives without a p-valve and I just drink less before or take a quick break. Seems like a lot of hype for something that literally just lets you pee in your suit.

Hard disagree, having to cut a dive short sucks the joy out of it.

Wow, you try having a bladder the size of a walnut and see how life changing it is! I'd probably consider it a major life milestone too.
