That 12 hour beach welding job in Galveston everyone hated actually went smooth for me
I was the only diver not complaining about the current because I setup a tether system off the barge before the tide shifted. Has anyone else found that prepping for the worst conditions actually makes the rough days easier than waiting for orders?

Ngl, the preppers got a point though.

Got to hand it to you, that is smart thinking. Being ready for the worst makes everything else feel like a breeze, and it is rare to see someone actually do the prep instead of just complaining. Good call on the tether system.

Oh, come on now. I get what you are saying, but I think "being ready for the worst" can turn into a trap. If you spend all your time prepping for some big disaster, you miss out on actually living your life day to day. I have seen people spend thousands on gear and never go on a single decent hike because they are too scared of getting lost. A little prep is smart, but too much just makes you paranoid.
