That clamp I needed was buried under 3 dive bags

Spent 45 minutes digging through my truck bed looking for a single trigger clamp on a pier job in Galveston last month. Turned out it was sitting right under my drysuit the whole time. Anyone else waste half a shift hunting for tools you know you packed?

DUDE. That is the most frustrating thing. Last month I had to dig through two totes and a milk crate on the dock looking for my stainless steel putty knife. I was CERTAIN I left it in the van. I even called my guy to check the passenger seat. Forty minutes later I found it wedged behind my truck's tailgate with a bunch of old zip ties. It's ALWAYS in the last place you look and ALWAYS right under something obvious you already moved.

@elliot45 nailed it with "it was sitting right under my drysuit the whole time." That is the story of my life. I swear my tools have a secret pact to hide in the most ridiculous spots. Like the time I spent a full hour looking for my knife on the dock, only to find it tucked inside my own fin pocket. I already checked that pocket twice but my brain just refused to see it. It's like they know when you're in a hurry too.
