A client's gaming rig in Phoenix had a weird power cycle issue that took me three visits to figure out
It would boot for 30 seconds then cut off, but only when the room was warm. Turned out the thermal paste on the CPU was completely dried and cracked, causing an instant overheat. Has anyone else seen a failure that quick from old paste?

Oh wow, that's a classic! I had a nearly identical thing with an old media PC that would only act up on summer afternoons. The thermal paste had turned into a crumbly, useless crust. Makes you wonder how many "weird" issues are just basic maintenance, right?

Ever seen a computer that basically just has a heat stroke? That's so wild it would shut down that fast... like it just gave up on life the second the sun hit it.

Wait, it only took thirty seconds? That's insane, like the CPU didn't even try to fight it. I've seen old paste cause throttling and slowdowns, but an instant shutdown that fast is like a cartoon character stepping on a rake. It must have been totally dusted, like concrete. Makes that Phoenix heat sound like a real computer killer.
