Finally gave in and bought a proper label maker for my bench instead of using a sharpie on tape. The difference is huge!

That label maker energy is real - it's like when people start meal prepping and suddenly every container in the fridge has a day and date on it. Pretty soon you're labeling things that don't even need labels, just because the machine feels good in your hand.

Oh man, @sammoore, I feel that. The label maker just unlocks something in people. My partner did the same thing with our kitchen jars last month. It starts with one sensible label and then suddenly every single thing has a tiny white tag on it. There's a real point where the organizing stops being helpful and just becomes its own weird hobby.
